A. This Republican has never labeled Obama as a socialist! Opportunist, sleight of hand artist, misdirectionist and almost any other kind of IST, but not a socialist!

How do you define cronyism in the workplace?
Q. Please give a definition and examples. Thank you!
Asked by Leave my kitten alone - Fri Feb 9 00:46:46 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Cronyism is favoritism shown to old friends without regard for their qualifications, as in political appointments to office. For example, you are holding a job interview to fill in the post for Finance Manager. There are two ideal candidates. Candidate A is somebody you personally never met but he grauduated from a good University with excellent gpa. Candidate A's character and qualities looks perfect for the position. Candiadate B is your good friend since kindergarten. He only got a diploma and his academic transcript doesn't seem impressive. But because Candidate B is your best friend, you choose him instead of Candidate A, despite the fact that his qualifications is not what's expected for this position. Cronyism is more of a bias… [cont.]

A. It is a very convincing charade they put on for the voters. They always play class warfare, the race card or normally social security cut offs for the elderly as their way to get votes. The show this week where these Senators stand in judgment over Wall Street is hilarious. There is no shame or extent to which these politicians won't go for a vote. They are blood brothers with Wall Street and had a hand in the financial meltdown. I can't wait for the next election!

Why is GM bragging about paying off its debt thanks to lobbying Pelosi & Obama? Whut up with cronyism & Obama?
Q. GM & Goldman-Sachs get all the sweetheart deals, why tax-payers keep getting the shaft? Does our new socialist government plan on leveraging the marriage of corrupt corporations with omni-potent government with more and more power with every bill that Obama & Pelosi pass? Kelo vs. New London? Dodd's so-called "Financial Regulation" Bill? Healthcare? Cap & Trade?
Asked by Just Me - Sat May 15 14:21:51 2010 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Actually, I do'nt see why there's anything to brag about. Taking government money to pay off other government money isn't a payoff in my book. As for the bills you mentioned, its a shame too many people just take the hyped and abreviated description of the bills to heart rather than get off thier lazy a$$ and read them. Dodd's so called Finanacial reform bill calls for a $50 billion slush fund to be created, used for future perpetual bail outs at the governments discretion. It also gives the government the right to seize institutions in the private sector if something is "wrong", and it leaves a very vague power of government to define what is "wrong". Have people lost thier minds ? Since when have we EVER been able to trust the government… [cont.]

Why deny the truth about the chaos that BUSH cronyism has allowed?
Q. The 911 quagmire We 'conspiracy nuts'compose the most significant silent majority the history of the United States has ever seen or dealt with. We are commonly characterized as maladjusted, and fruitless, because we are frank, well informed and think intuitively. I dare say fortunately and/or unfortunately that we fail to see the importance of remaining silent and stand bereft while our counterparts fail to see the importance of speaking out on an issue deserving utmost attention and scrutiny. It is at this non-deferrable impasse that we must meet head on, with a graceful ingenuity, a compassion, and an insight unequivocal. It is time we huddle-up and find peace inside to enable us to teach and confide, as opposed to argument and… [cont.]

A. Thank you for this well articulated and intelligent assessment! Too bad a lot of people will not understand what you have said. However, in answer to your question, I think it is as simple as this: If they cling to the lies they are being told, then they don't need to admit they are being ruled by monsters and in that case, they would have to actually do something about it. It's easier to keep ones head in the sand. "See no evil"

A. The founding fathers never thought elected positions would become a life time job. They thought it was a public service and you had to sacrifice to serve. Today, the elected officials have built a bird's nest with perks and pensions, and life time free medical. They spend all of their time working on their re elections and over 90% are re elected. Something needs to be done, but like most other problems it is not going to change.

In fact, his closest advisors for his presidential campaign are what would be considered an AIPAC "Dream Team." 9/11, signing off, 9/11.

Is there no end to the Halliburton cronyism?
Q. I can only hope the oversite committee investigating the mess has some teeth. Our solders deserve the best. Walter Reed awarded a five-year, $120-million contract to IAP Worldwide Services, which is run by Al Neffgen, a former senior Halliburton official. They also found that more than 300 federal employees providing facilities management services at Walter Reed had drooped to fewer than 60 by Feb. 3, 2007, the day before IAP took over facilities management. IAP replaced the remaining 60 employees with only 50 private workers.
